Why does RDV read right to left? Because that’s what I’m most comfortable with.
Isn’t that wanna-be? If that’s what you want to think. But if you can step out of your narrow-minded way of thinking for a moment, go to this page and read the comment below for some sort of explanation.
RDV doesn’t look very manga influenced. It doesn't have to.
Is Connor emo? If he is, then he's certainly not a very traditional emo.
O'Farrell is way too young to be a Major! Realistically speaking, yes he is. But RDV is set in an Alternate Reality which means most anything can go. ¬_¬;
Not everyone in the military is gay! Psh. Everyone's a fag, especially the people who deny it.
I dare you to deny it.
What's BL? Read my comic and find out.
Where's the buttsex?! The actual, more romantic butt-loving is in Phase Three, but there's some in the second chapter too, if you're into that.
How long will this comic be? Two hundred pages, give or take.
Does RDV have an ending? Yep. Script-wise it's complete.
Will RDV be published? Pfft, not unless I want to redo the first few pages. Which I really don't want to do, right now.
RDV reminds me of-- Unless you want me to take a metaphorical bat to your metaphorical face, don't compare my crap to anything. I hate comparisons, they annoy the Hell out of me.
I don't like -whatever-. Tough cookies. I don't change my shit for anyone.
Red Dog Venue? That actually gets explained at some point in the comic. Sort of.
Is Connor mentally ill? More or less.
Retarded? Definitely the opposite, even though he acts as though he is.
So is he some kind of genius? Pretty much.
Why does Noel wear a bomber pilot outfit? Because he was a bomber pilot, and proud of it until...
Who is this General? Is he Connor's father? I'm confused. Not Connor's father, no. Just sit tight, it'll be clarified later.
Will those aliens in the beginning reappear again? Depends on what feels better when I get to that stage. The script is all set and done, but I still end up changing things as I draw them according to what feels better.
Teach me how to draw men/comics/dicks/whatever! No. Teach yourself. That's what I did. I might make a tutorial or two, but I doubt anyone wants to make my crappy drawing habits theirs. I say use reference, Real reference. Go out there and get laid, or you know, just use google.com.
What do you use to draw RDV with? Manga Studio for the drafting, sketching and inking, PhotoShop 7 for the rest.
Do you have any other comics? I do indeed. There's Soil, Sunny Side Up (will be renamed to Hit/Run) and Death's Promenade, both of which aren't yet available. I don't know when they will be, as I'm only working on both on and off. But I have some art for both up in my DA Gallery, if you're interested.
There are also a series of short stories I'm currently scripting. Couldn't tell you when those will be available, though.
When did you start drawing? Ooh, a while ago. I started when I was around 15-16 years old.
Will you make any tutorials? I may, I may not. Thing is I've got a lot of bad habits, and I tend to be all over the place when working on a picture. Makes for a very chaotic tutorial.
Can I use your comic/art? No--for what would you want to use it, anyway?
What's with the terms of use?? The Terms of Use is there to further protect my work. I encourage all artists to do the same.
What tools do you use for drawing? Manga Studio Debut for drafting, sketching and inking. Adobe PhotoShop CS for coloring, dialogue and speech balloons.
Do you take commissions?
Depends on what you'd commission me to draw. If you're interested in commissioning me please drop me a line: misery_mirror AT hotmail DOT com.
I'm in the US, and you charge in GBP. I'd be paying a lot more in that case, right? Unfortunately that is indeed the case. But what would you have me to? I live in the UK, I use British pounds, not dollars or any other currency.
Is your pseudonym inspired by Harry Potter? No. =/
How old are you? Twenty-three.
Can you teach me how to make website layouts? I could, but I really don't feel like it. There's nothing I can teach you that an online tutorial can't.
What do you use to make your layouts? PhotoShop CS. I'm lazy when it comes to coding, so I just use the slice tool, which, if you save the file as an HTML document, does the table coding for you. :D
Will you make me a layout? Not unless you pay me. If your site has a lot of traffic though, I may do it in exchange for advertisement on your site.
How much do you charge, then? Depends on what you want. If you're interested in commissioning me please drop me a line: misery_mirror AT hotmail DOT com.
How come you're no longer coloring the pages? Because I'm a bit pressed for time.
If I donate, what will you do with the money? I'll be putting it to use for artsy things. For example, my tablet's drawing area needs replacing. =/
I found a link that's broken. Report it to me: misery_mirror AT hotmail DOT com, thanks. :3
Can I use the website layout as a template? You're welcome to use the coding, provided you do not use my images.
Mind if I nick a bit of coding? Nope. So go ahead, but again, don't use my images.
Something in the layout looks off. Most likely because your browser doesn't fully support CSS. Or if you're using IE, well...it sucks. So switch to Safari or Firefox.
Will you link me? I'll link to anything that has to do with comics, art, writing and such, unless it contains excessive furry/anthro. =/
